Knowledge Craftsman, Agile Coach, Software Architect & PMP.
You probably came here to learn a little bit more about myself and my work. From this place you’ll be able, not only to know me and contact me but also to read some thoughts I usually write in my blog.
Leading IT portfolios is my main area of expertise and currently I’m working as the Head of IT in one of the largest entertainment companies in Argentina, leading teams, collaborating with people, growing together and most importantly, having fun.
A highly motivated, results oriented experienced project manager with keen business insight looking to make a positive contribution to the industry, complimented with a diversified experience and demonstrated expertise leading IT projects throughout the whole product life cycle, applying several and different software development methodologies as well as coaching and mentoring skills, possessing a participatory leadership style with a reputation for hard work, integrity and commitment.
Horse Racing Track’s wide responsibility for:
Application support, Software Development, Data Center Operations, Networks Services, Desktop support, Telecoms, Security, Systems Administration (including storage & server support), Infrastructure strategy implementation, TV Broadcasting, Supplier and contract management.
Led the development of MME (Manage My Engagements) a global online solution targeted to client/contract executives to enable a more effective management of engagements and contracts. It also provided an online, standardized, integrated toolset that engagement leads would use to manage all aspects related to a project's structure, roster and financials.
- The technologies used were: .Net Framework 3.5, ASP.Net, VB/C#, Web Service Software Factory, Web Client Software Factory, Enterprise Library 4.1 and Unity Application Block, all of these within REBAR (a proprietary Accenture business framework).
As the Agile Capability Lead I also helped the implementation of distributed Scrum in MME. The team was fairly large (50+) including the business analysts, developers, testers, DBAs, architects and the reporting and operations teams. Since its introduction in January 2010, we’ve manage to drastically increase the quality in areas like code coverage (by using tools such as test driven development and continuous integration), defect reopen rate, significantly improving the overall customer satisfaction. On July 2009 I attended an Agile training session in London, UK in order to be the local lead of the agile capability, delivering training sessions, creating materials, and being the point of contact when evaluating projects towards Agile Methodologies adoption.
Previously I led an initiative, called "Publishing 2.0" that consisted of creating a modular publishing capability based on Sharepoint 2007. The tool delivered personalized, user- driven content to your target audience, but required little or no technical expertise on the part of the content owner. The solution was developed using SharePoint 2007 (MOSS) and was managed and structured to follow Scrum.
I was also one of the leads of the Accenture Argentina Technology Architecture Group and the newly created Technology Architecture capability back in 2010.
Lead in the development of a biometric digital signature solution. The system included the use of third party tools, and was implemented in Brazil starting mid 2005 towards September 2007.
During that period I was established in São Paulo and I travelled to Israel, Austria and Germany, places where I’ve participated in different training sessions. The project consisted of the integration of a digital signature add-in for Microsoft Word with the São Paulo Justice Department in-house systems. Development was mainly focused on information security, digital signatures, biometrics and cryptography within public key infrastructures.
Helped the sales department in their business presentations. The product was sold to different clients covering different areas, from Judicial and Insurance, to Energy and Power.
Developed a facial recognition system, intended to be implemented in gambling houses (casinos, slot machines parlors, etc.) The methodology used to manage the project was Scrum.
Developed a business intelligence solution for an airline company which gathered all the data from the company and industry sales to help the business analysts come up with different deals and figure out the best flight schedules.
Developed "HelpDesker", an ITIL based help desk manager software. The system delivered help desk functionality to any kind of business. It allowed a company to manage their clients, sites and specialist, grouped by specialties, service levels, etc. It also included a complete reporting package.
Performed all the network administrative tasks that were needed, like wiring new locations, setting up servers and keeping the systems on-line.
Provided first and second level support.
Made my first set of applications, solving most of the in-house problems, such us a help desk ticket administration software, an intranet and an audit software for computer equipment.
